Facebook Timeline Cover – 2015.12 Dec

With December comes the moving out of our son leaving us with an empty nest. He bought a house not far but seeing his possessions move out really drives it home and leaves mixed feelings. It will be a real change going forward for all of us. I spent a good chunk of time help him get his new house ready to move in as he painted and did some renovations which is why I haven’t been very active in anything during November. Hopefully I’ll have more creative time going forward!

This makes Cover number #34 in a row! To see all the covers I’ve created click here

Ludger Breton Scrapbook Page

I took photos of pictures a cousin had of my paternal grandparents in large domed glass frames. I took a bunch of pictures and selected the one with the least amount of glare. Then using Photoshop, I took out as much of the remaining glare as I could. Could be better but I’m happy with the results. I don’t have many photos of my paternal grandparents so I’m delighted with this one (and I’m still working on my grandmother’s portrait)

Created using the photo I took and elements from

Facebook Timeline Cover – 2015.11 Nov Scrapbook Page

In November the colors die down and the leaves fall to the ground. Deer that were hidden by the brush are easier to spot. I created month’s Facebook Timeline Cover using elements from Moonlight Reverie – Full Collection Bundle By Laitha’s Designs and used a White tail deer photo taken by pbase user ReflectionsOfNature (used with permission).

Greetings from Old Quebec Scrapbook Page

I participated in the  USE IT ALL Challenge with SnickerdoodleDesigns– Oct 2015 over at the Digichick this month. The challenge comes with a free mini kit. The ‘challenge’ part is to use all the elements in the kit. You are free to add elements from other kits but as a minimum you need to use every piece from the mini provided. This month’s mini kit was provided by a designer I used to CT for and coordinates with a lovely collection of her’s called  the  Scenic Route Collection by Snickerdoodle Designs.

I used all the elements from the mini and added some from the Scenic Route Collection to create this page of a recent trip I took with my son to Old Québec City.

Font used is called Kaushan Script Regular for both the title and text.

Missing You! Scrapbook Page

This weekend is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. I did a little reminiscing of the time we used to look forward to driving to my husband and son’s home town and stay with my in-laws for the long weekend. Even after all these years I miss my mother-in-law dearly. I loved hanging out with her. She was a wonderful person and The things she could cook in that tiny kitchen were amazing! I put this page together using Celebrate Family Bundle by Over the Fence Designs. This one is definitely getting printed and going into my scrapbook!

The font used in both the text and title is a free font called GaetanaUT Regular.

Hey You! Scrapbook Page

Today is my brother-in-law’s birthday so I decided to pull out an old photo and put a scrapbook page together for him. I always loved the surprised look on everyone’s face in this photo from the early 1960’s! I wanted to keep the old look of the photo so I didn’t clean up the scan very much, just removed some of the dust. I used Celebrate Family Bundle by Over the Fence Designs. I posted it on his timeline this morning with a Happy Birthday :-)

The fonts used are KG Summer Sunshine Blackout Regular for the title and Playball Regular for the text. Both are free fonts.

Museum Visit 2014 Scrapbook Page

I used one of the pocket template from Autumn’s Song – Collection by Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes and some of the elements in the collection to put together a page of photos from my museum visit last year. I had a number of photos I wanted to use but couldn’t figure out how to put them together. When I saw the pocket templates that came with this collection I figured I would give it a try and started filling in the blocks with photos from the trip. These templates are a great way to put a number of photos on the same page quickly!

See You Next Spring! Scrapbook Page

Autumn is definitely in the air. The tiny warblers that came through in the spring, singing their little hearts out, are now returning south for the winter. To commemorate the event I created a page for my Nature Scrapbook using Autumn’s Song – Collection by Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes and a photo of a fall Yellow-rumped Warbler taken by pbase user ReflectionsOfNature (used with permission).
